Our continued growth means we have a vacancy for a full time, experienced Automatic Door Engineer based in the North West to join our team.

Salary:

  • Up to £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience) + uncapped overtime

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week paid door to door plus uncapped overtime as required
  • Occasional weekend work or overnight stays required

Role and Responsibilities:

  • The installation, repair and servicing of all types of automatic doors including sliding, swing, revolving, bi-part and telescopic.
  • The role is based from home and will entail various site attendance covering work on entrance systems such as responding to call outs, fault finding, repair, installation and servicing.
  • Advise customers of potential equipment faults identified whilst on site.
  • Working within the commercial and industrial sectors covering sites such as schools, retirement villages, offices, factories and high street retail outlets.
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site
  • Carry out effective communications with the client and administration team and ensure high quality of reporting/job sheets are submitted.
  • Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies we subscribe to
  • Identifying additional sales opportunities

Skills and Experience:

  • A full UK driving licence (max 3 points) (Essential)
  • Clean record for DBS check (Essential)
  • At least 3 years’ complete experience working on automatic doors (Essential)
  • ADSA/ADIA – BS7036 EN16005 (Essential)
  • CSCS Blue Skilled Worker (Essential)
  • IPAF 3A +3B & PASMA Certified (Desirable)
  • DHF Shutter or Gates & Barriers qualified (Desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Professional, reliable and have can-do attitude plus a flexible approach to work
